BAS Module I through Workforce Development

This five-week, hands-on program consists of two, 80-hour modules: Introduction to BAS and BAS Fundamentals. Students will learn to install, repair, and maintain computer-based control systems that control and monitor a building's mechanical and electrical equipment including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), and energy management systems. Instruction will also include an overview of the growing field of BAS, specific pathways into employment, and the hands-on skills needed to work in this field.

This microcredential can serve as a pathway to entry-level employment or to add on related education via the HVAC Fundamentals microcredential.

Financing your training

The Building Automation Systems Module I and II program is a $4,600 valued training. Due to generous grant funding, the cost for students is $3,200.

Funding may be available to qualified individuals to help cover part of or the full $3,200 course fee. These sources include:

  • NYS Department of Labor Individual Training Accounts
  • Local scholarships

Our team works with each student prior to enrollment to determine funding eligibility. Most students receive funding for part or all of the training cost.
